Works fantastic on my Doberman's thick nails, which is why I got it. Does quick work of the smaller dogs' nails. I'm going to keep my old grinder (which works, but not nearly as quickly or efficiently as this one) for just in case. So pleased with this purchase!

This pet nail grinder arrived today. It is absolutely amazing. and is exactly the product that I needed to be able to deal with my very skittish Labrador's aversion to having her feet touched or her very hard nails cut. She is so difficult that my vet actually refuses to deal with her any longer, which meant that her nail maintenance had to be done exclusively by me. I have purchased product, after product, after product to no avail. None of them worked as well as this unit. It is fast. It is quiet and it is extremely effective because it has a metal grinder head. I have to say I am so impressed by this product: the moment it came, I took my dog to a quiet place, muzzled her, and began on one foot. We finished one entire foot. I now know that I will be able to deal with her nail maintenance because of this product. This will be the week her nails are finally done! The unit has a built-in light so that you avoid cutting into the quick of your pet's nail; it comes with a cleaning brush, an extra grinder head, instructions, and a charging cord.
