DOES NOT HAVE MAPS TOPOGRAPHICAL OR OTHERWISE. Only for waypoints in MGRS and Latitude Longitude. It is supplementary to a map or GPS only meant for self location and waypoints. 801 is easy to use. Allows you to input your information so if it's lost your info will be seen when turned on. I only use it for waypoints not familiar with how it works with the phone app but there's plenty YouTube videos for that. Stealth mode is a must for military operations. Jumpmaster function kinda useless unless you exactly where and what height your jumping from. Ballistics with 901 didn't seem worth the price unless you're consistently taking shots from long distance. Price at the moment averages $250 from most retailers. I purchased from Walmart because it had the fastest shipping to my location at the time and returns are easy if there was an issue.
