Worked fine for a few days then it seems the thermostat malfunctioned and at that point it only had one setting, extreme heat. Measuring the surface temperature it had exceeded 580 degrees. Finally it started to pop the circuit breaker. Tried it on other circuits with the same results. Will be returning this dangerous appliance.
