Easy Guide to Chip Transfer Tutorial for 218A/218X Toner Cartridges:


⚠This 218a/218x cartridge will not function without the chip. Before using this product, please ensure the following chip transfers are completed.
Removing the chip from original cartridge:

• Unscrew the chip recycle drill counterclockwise to reset the drill to initial position, as above vertical red line.
• Mount the drill onto OEM toner cartridge. The plastic tip outlined in grav. should match the position as red arrow pointed.
• Push down the drill and you will hear a snan sound. Then the drill is firmly locked onto the cartridge.
• Rotate the drill clockwise to drill out the chip.
• The chip will be pushed out of the chip slot.
• Use tweezers to take out the chip.
• Use the pliers to cut off the residual plastic or glue, if necessary.
• Unscrew the chip recycle drill back to the initial position, then remove it off the cartridge.
• Installing the chip into the new cartridge:
  
• Using tweezers, insert the chip into the slot witcorrect orientation.
• Double check the orientation of chip. Make sure they are installed correctly.
