I LOVE GRITS! BUT - I like them cooked beyond the recommended time. An extra minute or so makes these instant grits ever so more soft, less gritty! I even add wee bits of cheddar cheese to the last minute of microwave cooking. I'm a lover of the traditional cheese grits - ordering this famous dish when at Mooresville, North Carolina restaurants, after moving here from "up North" Give this a try! You'll be happily surprised if you like "smoooooth" grits!!!!!!!!
