Great on a boat!
Had a different weather station that caused trouble every time the boat switched from AC or was unplugged and the power went out. In addition to the fantastic LCD graphics, this device uses batteries and is quite simple to set up and operate. At around 30' from the home station, the anemometer and direction vane on top of the vessel perform remarkably well.

Such a cool device
Especially the history, I like all the elements. simple to set up It can be a little challenging to see the screen unless you're at just the perfect angle, but it's tolerable given how much information it offers. We don't utilize the forecast for that function because it is frequently inaccurate. has so far recorded winds of up to 75 mph. Really cool

Great Value!
I've installed and used the Davis ProVantage units for years, no major complaints, in fact I have one that is still working after 10 years in Alaska! But... by the time I get them on line I've got over $600 invested! This great unit is under $100 and seems to work as well. No issues getting it up and running at all. I like the display with its logical layout and function buttons. We'll see if it holds up for 10 years!
