Ecellent book & beautiful design

I got this book so I would be prepared for the debut first season on starz this summer. Mind you, I am not a reader at the least. It takes a real good story to get me interested and lets just say that doesn't happen too often. I have probably read maybe almost 1 book within 5+ years so as you can see this book is highly entertain-able and enjoyable. I love all the characters and their individual quirks and personalities. I love the dialog between one another -- especially Jamie and Claire. A very lovely book that I look forward to finishing -- although there is a part of me not wanting the first novel to end. The design of the book is really excellent. I was expecting it to have a cover sleeve as most hardbacks do but this one does not. It is entirely hardback with extra special tidbits thrown in the end about Diana Gabaldon, her inspiration, a bit of history and to my surprise, a cd from 'Outlander the musical'. A very good purchase I say.

OPENED THE PACKAGE AND HUGGED MY BOOK!

As a long time, loyal OUTLANDER series reader, i was thrilled to see the original OUTLANDER in hardback for the 20th anniversary.......Walmart has the cheapest price i found even with some retailers offering coupons etc.....i did ship to store for so no s&h for me! I have read my paperback until it is in tatters and as soon as i finish 'A Breath of Snow and Ashes' i will probably re-read OUTLANDER -- for about the 100th time - lol!! This is an incredibly enthralling series and all i can say is for someone to write Book 8 with the same enchantment and realism as Book 1 - Diana Gabaldon has a gift from God......you can feel, smell - KNOW! - these characters......i have become so interested in Scotland as a result - what an amazing history they have - such fierce, loyal and honorable people.....bc of this series a trip to Scotland is on my bucket list - the lush greenness, the castles, the history! I so recommend this 20th edition book - and if you have NEVER read OUTLANDER i promise you -- a few pages in and Dianas hooked ya!! you wont put it down!!

Christmas gift

My daughter loves the Outlander Series and wants all the hardcover books there are 8 in the series that I will have to buy one or two at a time. This book arrived in perfect new condition with a very nice embellished cover. I know she will be happy to open this up on Christmas morning :) Thank you Walmart for having the cheapest price on this item I shopped around at Ebay, Amazon, Books a million and Barnes and Noble and Walmart had the cheapest price.
