Baxter Family Children Story Best Family Ever, (Hardcover)

I have not read the book as it will be a Christmas gift for my niece. I love this author so I am sure it will be very good and inspiring to her at a young age.

Now Karen and her son, Tyler Russell, are telling the childhood stories of the children to inspire and entertain younger readers. I've read ALL the Baxter books, most of them numerous times. I liked this book, but didn't love it for two reasons. One, I'm not its intended audience, which are children ages 8-12. Two, I'm tired of Ashley Baxter. I'm sure a few Baxter fans threw things at me for that last comment but it's the truth. I want to know more about Brooke, Kari, Luke and Erin (especially her), but Ashley was once again the star of Best Family Ever. I liked the book because I think it's filled with great advice, but it's written for kids and reads that way. If there are more books forthcoming about the kids, I'll read them. Despite the fact this book wasn't intended for me, it was nice to get a look back at what made the Baxters the family that I fell in love with over the course of 20+ books. I see this new collection as godly advice from the Baxters for the next generation. Know a child you've wanted to introduce the Baxters to? This is your chance!
