Kwikset 553MNHLIP-15S Montara Handleset in Satin Nickel

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the Montara Handleset when I had my front door replaced this past summer. It looks and works great, and love the SmartKey feature. I've installed Kwickset SmartKey locks on three entry doors, both handle and dead bolt, and on two utility doors in the garage. I did have an issue with re-keying the handleset cylinder though. Initial unsuccessful re-keying was performed by the door installer. The replacement handleset from Home Depot would also not re-key. Kwitckset send me a replacement cylinder that was easy to replace and worked properly, without the hassle and extra time of sending in the receipt. Although it would have been great if the original cylinder had worked properly, the great customer support has made me a loyal customer.

I called Kwikset and explained that the polished brass finish was coming off. The representative had me send in a photo, they identified the current replacement and sent to me, FREE OF CHARGE, a new handle set. I was extremely pleased with the results. Consequently, I told friends and family of the superior support Kwikset has and advised them to purchase Kwikset higher line of products. I will never purchase another brand based upon my experience with Kwikset.
