Green Bell - Takumi No Waza - Stainless Steel Nail Clipper (G-1204) - Built-in Nail File - Made in Japan (Smaller Version of G-1205)

These are likely the best nail clippers on the market. They are not exported directly by the manufacturer, Green Bell, so can be hard to find. With all nail clippers I've owned before I have to do some filing after clipping to keep my nails from being ragged. Not with these. They are sharp enough to leave a clean cut. They have a contoured handle which makes them easier to hold than others. They are also very solidly built. They are a bit heavier than I'd like, as I'm using them for travel, but I'm happy to take the trade-off for better performance. I still find it useful to have a separate nail file, as these do not have a file attached. Some Green Bell models have a file on the underside of the body, but these are harder to use than a separate file. (Green Bell also has files. Note that their straight file is much larger than you would expect. They also make an unusual curved file. Note that these are “regular” nail clippers, not wider ones designed for toenails. They do fine on smaller toes, but it's harder to get an even cut on a big toe. Green Bell has a number of other models, some with a box attached designed to catch the clippings. (These do not have the box.) On a different pair which has a plastic box I find that it makes the sound of a clip very loud. I'd stick to ones without the added box.
