Homongi is a high-class formal Kimono for official visits that became very popular in Meiji period among upper-class females. It is commonly worn as a festive garment for ceremonies and parties by both married and unmarried women. Linked patterns on the chest, shoulder, sleeves and family crests are distinct characteristics of Homongi Kimono.
Please keep in mind that female Kimonos are supposed to fit long. You will need to adjust the length to your size by tying with Obi belt.
