Lights stopped working with remote

When I put the base and topiary together it worked great with the remote controller and looked fabulous on either side of my front entrance. But after 2 weeks the lights on one side won't operate by remote. Changed the batteries twice. The lights do work using the manual button on the battery pack. I'd like to troubleshoot rather than return both plants but don't know how to reach seller.
