It makes slices or wedges well. I’ve only had cheap egg slicers before, so luvin this. Piercing tool cool too.

Disappointed!!

I was so excited to get this since my last egg cutter broke. I got this one specifically because it has the pin for piercing egg shells for hard boiling. I have chickens so I always have tons of eggs. What a disappointment. The piercing pin is coarse and dull and several eggs broke while trying to pierce them. Then I tried the wedging tool and no matter what angle I held the eggs, the wedges came out all different sizes. Being German-made I thought this would be a great tool, but I'm so disappointed. Since I ordered it via Google Express I can't even return it to the store like I usually do, and it's not worth the hassle and postage of returning it by mail.
