The SmartFlow® Reverse Osmosis combines Aquasana's advanced Claryum® filtration technology with reverse osmosis technology to remove up to 99.99% of 90 contaminants, including fluoride, arsenic, lead, chlorine, microplastics, PFOA/PFOS, and more. This RO system boasts one of the highest certified contaminant removal rates of all reverse osmosis systems on the market and offers a reliable 0.8 gallons per minute (gpm) flow rate. This system also features a multi-stage filtration process to ensure maximum contaminant removal. Stage 1: Carbon Block: Reduces chlorine, taste, and odor prior to reverse osmosis filtration. Straightforward "Specialty" Installation
Nice to have the convenience of filtered water at our kitchen sink. Will add an Aquasana whole-house system to treat other elements, like chlorine, after it arrives. Installation was straightforward even though I had a "specialty" situation where there was no room under my kitchen sink. I needed to install the unit in my under-house crawl space that is below my kitchen. I had prepped, cleaned, and cemented the space to be as dust free as possible. Anticipating this installation, I purchased separately a long roll of blue hose. (At one point I connected one of the lines to the cartridge unit incorrectly. I could not determine a way to successfully remove the line so I cut the line with enough tail to use a coupling to connect more line to correct my error.) Wish longer lengths came with the unit for applications like mine that require a few more feet of distance from the sink.

Efficient RO System and Great Tasting Water
I bought this filter to replace an Aquasana 3-stage under counter filter (not reverse osmosis). The first filter housing that shipped with my new RO system was broken but they replaced it "immediately." It took about 5 days to get it, so I had no filtered water, because I had removed the other system. The RO system takes up quite a bit of room but it does fit under the sink. I hate being on my back in a match box, so I paid a plumber to install this one. The installation seems to have gone excellent, except the afore-mentioned bad part. The quality of the water is excellent. Taste is wonderful and the appearance is perfectly clear. This one filters so many contaminants out of the water, they need to sell you a separate filter to put the good stuff back in. The flow of water out of the provided dedicated faucet is slower than the prior filter but manageable. If the water is better, I got no complaints.
