If you're looking for a serious challenge to add to your puzzle collection, the Rubik's Phantom is a really cool twist on the classic 3x3 cube. The big "wow" factor here is the thermochromic technology, which means the cube starts out looking completely black until the heat of your touch reveals the colors. It's designed for experienced cubers who want an extra layer of difficulty, but it's also rated for kids ages 8 and up who have the patience for a more mental game. ​There are some unique features and a few things to watch out for with this model. On the plus side, the "slow reveal" mechanic makes it feel much more like a high-tech gadget than a standard toy, and it's a great way to test your memory and focus since you have to solve it before the colors fade back to black. The movement of the cube is also surprisingly smooth for a non-speed cube. However, the biggest "con" is that the color reveal depends entirely on the temperature of your hands and the room you're in. If your hands are naturally cold, or if it's a chilly day, the colors can be very faint or hard to see, which can be frustrating during a solve. On the flip side, if the room is too warm, the colors might stay visible the whole time, which takes away the "phantom" challenge. It starts off solid black the more you touch it the more reveals it starts off solid black the more you touch it the more reveals it's colors. The object is to solve a poster before it the object is to solve the postal before it returns black again. The heat reveals and the cold hides it. Somehow i think it should be reversed engineered. Since we know the desired outcome i think it would be more of a challenge to solve it before it turns completely black. All in all. The technology infused into the cube adds one more challenge to your dining cubing experience. It was worth the purchase and challenge to me.

Good show puzzle piece!

You need to use your hand to cover each side one at a time . Doing this will allow the colors to appear. You will need to do this as long as it takes to get all colors to come out! Then you have the time to mix the cube, then get all sides to get back to one side color again!
