Works but expensive

So this is probably my fault but the three light options only work on certain lamps. My lamp only has on and off so I don't even know which option it's giving me but I'm gonna assume it's the brightest cause it's pretty bright and I wanted the dumbest option so I am bummed about that but otherwise the lightbulb is fine. I do think they're expensive.
