Unfortunate fragrance change.

Unfortunately I can't use dawn dish soap any longer. The new fragrance is bad enough that it gives me headaches. I have washed dishes by hand for the last 23 years, and always used original dawn. The fragrance is strong enough that it registers on the my air quality monitor. Our house typically stays between 150-600 parts per billion measures VOCs. I tried to use it today for some cleaning, and the VOCs tripled from 560 ppb to 1780 ppb just while later. It has remained elevated for three hours so far. The old recipe did have some fragrance, but it wasn't nearly so bad.

Dawn Ultra new scent is horrid

I have used Dawn Ultra for years and have always liked the way it cleans and smells. I just had to purchase a bottle since I ran out and was unaware of the scent change. The new scent is absolutely horrid! It smells awful (stinks) and it looks like I will be tossing it out and looking for a new dish soap. Is returning to the original scent an option

You just don't get it.

The smell of the ''new'' Dawn is beyond bad. My first introduction with this was back in Feb 2024 when I went to my local grocery store and the dish detergent said ''New Formula''. Was immediately concerned since I have such bad allergies but didn't think much of it until I brought it home and used it and was sickened to my stomach by the awful overly perfume smell of it and the strong fumes it had. My throat started closing up and I gagged. After one use my hands developed contact dermatitis which lasted for two days. I immediately stopped use and bought seventh generation dish soap and felt much better. About a week ago I was in the store and ran out of dish soap and was still surprised that Dawn was still selling the new awful formula and didn't listen to anybody. I bought a small bottle of it just to test it again and the results were horrifying. My hands got real red and my throat was closing up and I immediately threw it out again. This was a year and a half later and my body still had the same bad reaction to it that I had back in early 2024.I am shocked your company actually is still selling this and you think this is going to work out. You just don't get it.
