Speedy and Reliable

With the prices skyrocketing I grabbed one before it joined the others. The heatsink might need to be taken off for some installs- not sure how that would go but it adds width; sitting right against my PCIe graphics slot. Have to install Magician to turn control the LED and more importantly UPDATE THE FIRMWARE. These drives have had a problem with fast degradation, supposedly fixed in a firmware update in late 2025. I don't care for magician so I updated the firmware and turned off the LED, rebooted and confirmed the firmware update took and then uninstalled it. Kind of a PITA, but I've yet to have a samsung die on me and I've bought a lot of them. Only other brand that's never died on me is SKHynix gold or platinum but you have to catch them on sale. Get one of these if the price is right! They're worth a little extra for peace of mind.

Really easy to install on my PC. One of the fasted NVME 4 drives you can purchase. The Samsung software bundled with the drive feels professional. I like the heatsink that comes with the drive, but it is extremely difficult and most likely will void you warranty if you decide to remove it.
