The Design House Stratford Privacy Knob is ideal for bedrooms and bathrooms, featuring a locking button on the inside knob with no keyed entry on the outside. In case of an emergency, the lock can be opened by turning or pressing the mechanism from the inside. Finished in oil rubbed bronze, this knob works with both left- and right-hand doors and fits the two most common backsets in the U.S. (2-3/4 inch and 2-3/8 inch). It is designed for standard 1-3/8 inch and 1-3/4 inch thick doors with a 2-1/8 inch cross bore and 1-1/16 inch edge bore, and includes a 1 x 2-1/4 inch radius corner faceplate. Privacy knobs are commonly used on bedroom and bathroom doors and can be opened with a generic tool if needed.
