I am using it for growing herbs on two garden tables to ensure that the soil remains moist to encourage being successful that my seeds grow, develop and produce an abundance of home grown fresh herbs with companion flowers. This is the best bang for your buck POTTING soil you can buy. HOWEVER, keep in mind that you will need to amend it with other things depending on what stage your plants are in. You might need to add bone meal, blood meal, compost, worm casting, fertilizer, etc...

I've been using this for years now. It's so much easier to carry than big bags. I empty them into a trash can and use a scoop. I go through 6 per year for potted plants and containers. It's organic too! You do need to add your own fertilizer but that's what makes it organic.
