Best 0W-20 oil for a great price!
I have been concerned about how robust the 0W-20 viscosity motor oils are but after having had a good track record using other Shell Rotella products in my diesel engines in the past I thought I would give their new Gas Truck motor oil a try in my gasoline powered SUV. I have seen a virgin oil analysis (VOA) on this oil and then got a used oil analysis (UOA) after 5000 miles. The UOA reported that the oil's additives were barely affected and the total base number (TBN), which measures acidic depletion of the oil, was commensurate with that of any other comparable oil after similar usage. Rotella Gas Truck Oil 100% Synthetic
I noticed immediately after changing my oil a increase in performance and after one month noticed a increase in gas mileage. The engine is very quiet and smooth with no vibration at any RPM. Cold starts are no challenge, the engine starts up very quick and the oil pressure comes up instantly. I have all ways had excellent experiences with Shell products and this oil is no different.
