. Easy to Prepare. Recommended brewing instructions for refreshing iced tea. 1. Place 2 tea bags in a heat-proof pitcher with 4 cups of boiling water. 2. Brew for 1-1½ minutes; remove tea bags. 3. Sweeten to taste. 4. Stir in 6 cups ice cubes* until melted. Keep refrigerated. * if not using ice cubes, then stir in 4 cups cold water. Traditional Brewing Directions for Green Iced Tea. For 2 quarts Green Iced Tea pour 8 cups boiling water into a pitcher containing 2 family sized teabags and brew 1 to 1½ minutes. Sweeten to taste. Chill or add ice. Keep refrigerated. Healthier alternative to traditional black tea
I am a big tea drinker, close to a gallon a day most of the time. I had a food sensitivity test and found out that black tea may be causing me some inflammation issues, but green tea does not. In researching this, I also learned that black tea is very high in oxalates, which are spiny crystals in some foods (spinach, peppers, chocolate, etc.) that attach to calcium and build up in the body, leading to eventual kidney stones, calcium deposits in the joints and other organs and other conditions. Green tea is lower in oxalates and is also naturally low in caffeine, so it is a healthy alternative. It does taste different, but has a mild, pleasant flavor and I had no trouble adapting to it. If you go cold turkey like I did, you may want to take a caffeine supplement temporarily to wean yourself, or you may get a headache. An easier alternative would be to gradually swap green tea in place of black tea by volume to gently adjust to the caffeine levels.

Lipton is a great brand
I love Lipton! And especially these green tea bags. I drink one every morning. The packaging is great quality and the instructions are helpful and easy to follow
