This particular unit was not designed for a 05 Cadillac SRX but I was able to make it work with some wiring modifications. Overall it works as designed. There are other comparable products available but cost twice as much and warranty tech support not very good.

Easy installation and works well

Had my radio out for repair so decided to install this which was simple. My Wire harness had 5 connections and the only wait was in the instruction to wait 3 minutes after turning the radio on before doing anything. After that my radio's band button found the iPod right away and all the steering wheel controls worked with the iPod. Now it is just a matter of learning the new functions of the radio buttons when using the iPod or iPhone. The cord for connecting/charging to the iPod/iPhone is really long so it can be routed almost anywhere. The connection is the old apple 30 pin one for iPhone 4 and prior but with my Apple adapter (30 pin to 9 pin) it plays my iPhone 5 music seamlessly.
