Too small

I usually buy Timberland steel toe work shoes. I assumed their size translated to this brand. I ordered 12Wide and got what was in effect 11Medium even though the shoes were labelled 12W. They are nice looking shoes and the soles have a gummy feel, unlike the rubbery feel of the Timberland shoe soles.
