This is a replacement for one that weakened in spots due to my two dogs. That one only draped from the seat to the floor. The appealing aspect of this one is that it creates a true hammock between the back and the front seat. Neither of my dogs (38 lb and 16 lb) are able to "jump" from the back to the front - important as I am always the sole human in the car. My seats are protected not only from the dog hair and drooling but also from the sun which has caused other seats to fade over time. As was mentioned before, with the hammock completely in place, people are not able to look into the car and see what might be stored/hidden in the wheel wells of the vehicle. Found the price to be very reasonable; a variety of colors (one that matched my interior; easy to install; easily able to secure the animal via the openings for the seat belt latch. Expect that this will last for at least 5-7 yrs as did the last one and that was with constant use. Replacement costs comes to pennies week, so extremely affordable.
