I am a long time buyer, user, and fan of Scosche products. They are high quality and a good value and this charger is no exception. This 30-watt GaN (Gallium Nitride) charger is more compact than standard chargers. GaN components handle higher voltages, switch faster, and generate less heat, enabling faster charging speeds while taking up much less space. For example, my Verizon 30-watt charger (Non-GaN) is much larger overall. And takes up 35mm on a power strip. Basically, it hogs two spaces. Conversely, the Scosche is 30 watts and only takes up 31mm on a power strip leaving ample room for more plugs. _________________________________________________ Getting 30 watts out of this small of a package is pretty amazing. And since weight is always a consideration when toting stuff around, the Verizon charger weighs 76 grams vs the Scosche's 50 grams. That's a 34% savings in weight and it still has a very solid and high quality feel! It all adds up when you're toting around a backpack or purse full of essentials for life in the digital world. So, it saves space and weight, feels like money, charges fast and doesn't get hot enough to cook an egg. I highly recommend!

Since mostly all android phones are C plugs now this duel C plug is a better fast charging wall plug. I haven't seen a wall plug for any new smart phone in the box since before 2000. I especially like that It folds.
