LIke a Miller, Jackson, or SpeedGlass For Less.

I wanted an auto darkening welding helmet with a large viewing area and a 5-8 shade setting. I'm on a DYI budget and do a small amount of plasma cutting and MIG welding on home projects. I have a cheap Harbor Freight helmet from a few years ago but I have a difficult time seeing where my bead is going and it doesn't have a lower setting for plasma cutting. I researched helmets from the very expensive to the cheaper ones such as Antra. I had settled on a Jackson but had to cancel the order when the delivery was delayed twice. Then I found the Pyramex which seems to be relatively new and unknown. When I received it, the first thing that I noticed was how light it was. I found it easier to take out the whole lens unit to peel the film from the outer protective lens. You can peel the film from the inner protective lens without removing it. What I like about it: 1. Manual controls. Digital are fancier, but I think manual are more functional. 2. Huge viewing area. 3. Extremely clear viewing in both shaded and unshaded modes. 4. 5-8 setting. Easy to see where you are plasma cutting with good protection on 7 or 8. 5. Good sensitivity control for cutting or welding, indoors or out. 6. Lightweight. 7. Quality headband. Back tightening knob holds it on your head. 8. Flip up control knobs adjust to hold helmet up but allow easy pull down. 9. Extra inner and outer protective plastic lenses. Cons: The viewing area is so huge that my breath created a condensation patch between the inner protective lens and the darkening lens in the lower part of the unit. This didn't affect my viewing area however as I never looked down that far. I had to remove the protective lense to wipe them. Bottom Line: This helmet has the quality, features, huge viewing area, and gives you an extremely clear view of your work while protecting your eyes. It's relatively new and hasn't hit the reviews and comparisons against other helmets yet, but I think that it would compare well against the name helmets in the $200 - $300 range.
