Works great will have to replace every 8 months

This apple slicer works great compared to other slicers. Its easy to wash although with bigger apples I sometimes end up having put my body weight into it. We get big orchard apples and my husband and I have an apple everyday and it is one of my kids favorite treats so we cut at least 3 -4 apples every day. We have gone through 4 slicers in 3 years. With that in mind the plastic handles were much easier on my hands than the metal ones.
