Stopped my reserve gas tank leak

This connector didn't leak like the other 2 plastic ones I bought from Amazon. I have a boat that I use a 6 gallon gas tank as my reserve due to my main gas tank being only 12 gallons. When I had the reserve tank full and not connected to the female connector and full of gas it would leak even when the vent on the tank was opened.
