SAFE - LARGE PERSONAL

The model FIRLT1507 is described as Fire Rating: Class 150; UL-1/2 Hour/1550°F. However, what I received from the Sam's Club is clearly NOT fireproof. I contacted FireKing several times while figuring this out, and they were very helpful. Aside from not being fireproof, it appears to be a very well made safe. The proprietary bypass key is four-sided (so it should be very difficult to pick the lock) and sturdy enough that I have no worries about the key breaking or bending. The electric lock mechanism works smoothly, and is set up with both a user code and a master code (so it could be used as an office or hotel safe). The whole thing is solidly built and, if bolted down to the floor or wall, should provide good security. I purchased a cheaper $60 safe from another company. The electronic lock never worked at all, and 9 times out of 10 the mechanical key wouldn't open the safe, either. I never even tried to use the cheap safe, because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get my stuff back out of it. The Gary/FireKing safe is expensive, but it looks like the quality justifies the cost.
