Not a fan of the can of coconut pecan frosting. I loved the boxed version you had years ago. Very simple to make and tasted like homemade. Please bring back. I always bought 2 boxes when I made this cake so I could eat my fair share.

I used a ready made oreo cookie pie crust and use 1/2 can of Betty Crocker coconut pecan frosting spread on bottom of crust, made small box of cook and serve chocolate pudding according to directions, poured over frosting. put plastic wrap on top. Refrigerated . Topped with whipped cream. Loved it. A lot like a german chocolate pie a lot less work.

I love this for German chocolate cake. It's really good if you like that coconut and caramel taste. This frosting is actually better than the cake to me. But I love German chocolate cake so much that I really hope to have this at my wedding some day.
