They reviewed initial set-up and got it operational then went through using the needle threader, bobbin winder etc. Then they went over selecting various stitches and putting the machine through its paces. My sister, who owns numerous more expensive machines, noted that this Brother was well-featured, sturdily constructed, and easy to use! I already own a Brother sewing machine but highly recommend this model for the ease of use and quality of this brand. Am teaching someone how to sew, it's smoothness and easy to use has made our sewing classes fun. Also sewing machines are so expensive but this one was on sale and was shipped to us. There was a glitch with Walmart saying it was in stock and I would older than Walmart would indicate out of stock. This happened three times before it arrived. Not the normal procedure for Walmart, it was being shipped from the manufacturer.
