Hitec Rcd Hrc44245 Rdx1 Ac/Dc Battery Charger / Discharger Battery Chargers

This Charger is very easy to setup and use. I like the larger display and the way the menu system is set up. It's faster to scroll through the menu system and make changes. You can also change everything with this charger like cutoff voltages for all charging and discharging modes for lipo packs. I really like the cell voltage/battery percentage screen when charging. No other charger has this feature that I'm aware of this really is invaluable as it shows you just how much capacity the battery has at a glance. The fan isn't too loud but you do hear it, I mean there chargers with obnoxious fans and this isn't one of them. One thing I do wish this charger had was an internal resistance measurement. Allot of newer chargers have this including all of Hitecs newer chargers like the X2 Black Edition which I also own. That's really the only con I can think of. But other than that this charger is absolutely perfect for the average hobbyist. It'll charge 3S 5200mah pack with no problems and it'll charge up to 6000 mAh packs as well. However with say a 7000 mAh pack it'll charge them but it'll just take longer. That's where the Pro version comes in. That charger can handle packs up to 10000 mAh since it can charge at 10amps. But for the average hobbyist the standard RDX1 is perfect.
