after a few months of use, the bristles began to retract back into the cushion of this brush after each use. in order to use the brush again the bristles had to manually be pulled back into their full upright position again. this happened each time the brush was used. i contacted wet brush %26 after providing my receipt, pictures showing the problem with the retracted bristles %26 a full description of the problem, i was offered a 20% off coupon for a future purchase on the wet brush website since the purchase had not been made from the wetbrush website but had been made from walmart. have been unable to get the reason why this problem with this brush occurred even after follow-up emails to wet brush %26 no further response! very disappointed in the life span of this brush! could it be a design defect in that the drainage holes on the back of the brush cause the bristles to soften %26 retract into the cushion over time after repeated washing %26 being submerged in soapy water? note: the backbar detangler is not offered on the wet brush website which i find very unusual....! i purchased 4 of the backbar detangler brush %26 so far have used the first one with this problem happening now...as of february/march 2023. i am now using the 2nd brush %26 it will remain to be seen if this same problem occurs after a few months of usage. i specifically purchased the backbar detangler because of the drainage holes on the back of the brush. the original detangler brush first purchased did not have drainage holes on the back %26 the water stayed inside after washing the brush %26 could be heard "sloshing " around inside the brush...not a very good situation! was never able to get all the water fully out of the brush after washing it...definitely another design defect!
