This hitch shank is perfect for me as it solves two problems at the same time. My truck has a 2.5” receiver. My trailer came with a weight distribution hitch that has a 2” shank. I could have got a sleeve to reduce my 2.5” receiver to 2” but those tend to rattle, and the shank that came with the hitch was just a little too short to allow my tailgate to open. 😥 This shank is about 4” longer, so it solves that problem. It's 2.5” square, so no reduction sleeve needed. And it also allows for about 2” more drop, so more adjustability on the hitch as well! WIN-WIN-WIN!!!
