3M SJ4575 Dual Lock Low Profile Reclosable Fasteners can replace conventional fasteners such as screws, clips, rivets, snaps, hook and loop and bolts in many applications where access or repositioning is needed. Amazingly thin and reclosable, yet strong, 3M Dual Lock Low Profile fasteners are thinner and more flexible than other reclosable fasteners. 3M SJ4575 is backed with 3M 300 LSE Laminating adhesive, giving it an excellent bond to many substrates including polypropylene, polyethylene, metal, finished wood and many others. Used in POP (point of purchase), trade show exhibition and electronics, Dual Lock low profile reclosable fasteners attach ceiling tiles, carpet, seat cushions, trade show graphics, access panels, wall panels, and small electronic devices. They are also ideal for attaching E-ZPass tags to car windshields. 3M typically recommends 4 square inches of fastener per pound of static load for their low profile dual lock products.

Dual lock only has one type of side; unlike products where there are a separate hook and a loop side; so rolls are typically cut in half and then mated or connected so a 10-foot roll would be used as two 5-foot strips. Low profile dual lock has about 700 stems per square inch, but the stems are much shorter than standard dual lock which has either 170, 250 or 400 stems per square inch. They let you make a much thinner joint (an object being mounted would not stick out as far), but it doesn't have the holding power of standard dual lock.
