My kittens loved it.

Nice and small pieces. Once they were old enough to eat on their own, the kittens ate it both dry and moistened with water, but preferred it moistened. Momma also was fed this as well. She loved it moistened.

Happy healthy kittens!

I purchased the Parina kitten chow healthy development, indoor dry kitten, food chicken flavor for the two feral kittens I caught December 22, 2024. They were about three months old and quite small. As strays they were fed dry and canned adult cat food. Though they did not have diarrhea their poop smelled awful. I did a little research and looked at unbiased consumer reviews before purchasing the kittens food. The food was small enough for their tiny mouths. Once they had this food, they would not eat any other brand or canned food. I shake the container I use to dispense their food and they literally come running. The food is just the right size for the little mouths. My vet told me it was a good choice each time he examined them. They’re both in excellent condition, healthy, their fur is shiny, their teeth look great, and their breath doesn’t stink. Their poop is normal stinky and formed well. They don’t poop a lot which is common with a cheap brands full of filler. The only thing I would change would be to add an easy close strip at the top of the bag. I strongly recommend this kitten food. As you can see my cats look great

My vet gave it the thumbs up.

(*I don’t understand why Walmart doesn’t separate the reviews for Purina Cat Chow, its numerous varieties, and Purina Kitten Chow. They are obviously different products.) I feed my cats in a trough. They are free feeders. This product (specifically the Cat chow- indoors) helped bring down the extra pounds that 2 of my cats were putting on (Eating kitten food as adults will do that.) I’m raising kittens (who were born 6 months ago. I took in a pregnant stray.) side by side with adult cats. It’s my first time having cats. So I’ve tried numerous flavors of kitten/cat food, by various brands. In the end, I settled on Purina Kitten/Cat chow. It’s affordable, meets their nutritional needs, and most importantly- my kittens/cats like the flavor. (They prefer junk food [who doesn’t] like Friskies or Meow Mix, but this brand [Purina Kitten/Cat Chow] was a happy middle ground that included health with taste.) I’ve seen a lot of comments across the internet about fillers in cat food. Here’s the reality: Do you eat food without seasonings or butter? Do you include sugar or desserts in your diet? Fillers aren’t toxic. They’re just extra flavoring. As long as it isn’t in excess, it’s fine. (My cats avoided most high protein, filler-free flavors like the plague.) Keep in mind that your cats will eat the same food, every day, for every meal of their lives! Could you do that? Wouldn’t it be miserable? At least give them something tasty. As long as it meets all their dietary requirements, and isn’t excessive in salt or sugar, just let them have it. (Not junk food - but you don’t need to force them onto a heath food regime.) If it worries you, just cut down on the treats you give them. Offer play time instead of treats when giving rewards. The vet was confident that switching to this product (Purina Cat Chow- any type that’s not for seniors), at this age (the kittens are 6 months old now) would still provide all the necessary nutrients my kittens need, while keeping kitten food away from the adult cats (who were getting chonky). My kittens/cats are happy and healthy. They enjoy the taste of this food. Their munching sounds are always adorable! *If you need evidence that this cat food brand/type is safe and heathy, just look at the photos of my kittens who have been fed only Purina kitten/cat chow exclusively for 2/3 of their lives! This is Purina kitten/cat chow at work! My babies have had all their bloodwork done at the vets, just before their spay/neuters. They are all healthy! The vet approves this food choice. **In their food trough, I tried putting different flavors side-by-side. They always went for the junk food first, any variety of Purina second and third, and whatever health focused food brand was present last. (No surprise- my human kids would go for cookies first, lasagna second, and vegetables last. This is just normal.)
