This definitely helps my 88 year old, 90 lb., very weak aunt. I should have gotten it a lot sooner. Commode is immediately left of the door when she walks in, and now she can hold on to the safety rail so she can get to the commode (small bathroom). She was always very afraid she would fall, but having the safety rail around the toilet has eased that fear.
