Mercer Cutlery

I expected the Mercer Cutlery purchase to be everything I was looking for, because the Mercer brand always has good reviews. When the item arrived I was blown away. It was much better than I expected. The balance is great with just enough weight to make it comfortable to use. Flawless lines, full tang, and comfortable handles. Great quality for the price. Also, the magnetic board looks good in the kitchen with a more modern appearance than a traditional knife block. This will not be my last Mercer purchase.

Great Set of Knives

I was researching cutlery sets and came across the Mercer brand. It was billed as the knives of culinary students--good quality but more affordable and perhaps less flashy than some sets. I went with the Mercer Renaisance because of the full-tang design (the metal of the knife continues into the handle for better strength and balance). After using these knives for two weeks, I can say they are sharp, well-balanced, and well-made knives that definitely meet my expectations around the kitchen. I don't think it's possible to find a better set for around $100. Do not dishwash these!
