2007 release from the Canadian Industrial/Techno/Electronic outfit. The members of Primes converge from a variety of backgrounds. Producing visual environments and conjuring sonic alchemy at raves as Isis alongside the likes of Autechre and Orbital for over a decade, Tanya Pea also releases bleeps + beats solo. Jack Duckworth (JJD) brings his post-punk history into the mix from his years playing in seminal Vancouver bands Radio Berlin and a Luna Red. Erik West, member of old school techno acts Phaedra and Hemisphere, adds to this equation. Primes don't hesitate to take cold hard looks at the world as we know it with Facades and Pink Forms, although the upbeat programming and occasional sweet vocal deliveries could fool one into thinking otherwise.
