The FORMUFIT 1/2” Slip Sling Tee Furniture Grade PVC Fitting in Yellow helps create hinged assemblies or rotating elements in a PVC structure. This PVC sling T-L fitting connects two (2) segments of 1/2 in. Schedule 40 PVC pipes to create a hinge or a limited sliding mechanism. The horizontal portion of the slip tee is an open socket that is marginally larger than the pipe to allow it to rotate freely. The Slip Tee can also slide along the pipe in a limited lateral movement. The perpendicular socket is closed, positioned at 90 degrees from the open socket. With its furniture grade construction, this fitting is designed to be used in nearly any application, including total weather exposure and outdoor use. Injection molded using engineered plastics, including UV resistance and impact resistance properties, this PVC fitting will not change color, fade, crack or become brittle even in years of direct sunlight and abuse. This fitting is compatible with standard 1/2 in. Schedule 40 PVC plumbing pipe or with FORMUFIT 1/2 in. Furniture Grade PVC Pipe. The sockets of this fitting have an actual inside diameter of 13/16” (0.840”), which directly matches the outside diameter of 1/2 in. size PVC pipe for a secure and tight fit.
