Good solid wire (no pun intended)

Good basic wire. I use the .030 for 1/8 inch or thicker stock with C25 gas mix. I'm no professional welder, but I can get a nice solid looking beads with this using my Hobart welder. Don't have much experience with other brands of wire, so I'm not sure if going cheaper is worth it or not. Sometimes, it's better not to have to find out in the middle of a project.

Wire quality does make a difference

I bought cheap mig wire and after a couple of welds, it seemed something just wasn't right. I thought I was out of practice but after reading some posts on a welding forum, I decided to try the hobart wire. Quality does make a difference and on my project (used about 1lb of wire) I laid down some of the best welds ever. I threw to old no-name amazon china crap in the trash. I won't buy the cheap stuff again, I'm a believer. I bought .024 and .030 wire. Same review posted on each.

Bought this welder to replace a smaller older unit. The welder was a great purchase. It do a great job and has been a good investment for the body shop. Thanks
