The plastic engine timing belt tensioner pulley on certain Chrysler vehicles is brittle and will often crack. When it fails, replacing it with an OEM timing belt tensioner could mean the same issues again in the future. This Dorman OE FIX engine timing belt tensioner replaces the plastic pulley with a metal pulley for a more durable replacement. In addition, the bearing on our OE FIX tensioner is much larger than the OEM unit. This allows it to spin slower and increases bearing surface area, which leads to longer life of the part.
