Great Affordable Binoculars!

I have never had a pair of binoculars before. I purchased these binoculars mostly for stargazing (moving around telescopes is a pain), landscape viewing, and eclipse viewing. I didn't want to break the bank for some fancy features I didn't need, but at the same time I didn't want cheap plastic binoculars that would fog up either. These have been a great middle ground and the 7.5x50 is perfect for a beginner like myself. When I opened the box, I was impressed with the good quality feel and nice weight they had. I have used these binoculars to look at the planets at night, cityscapes during the day, and I have attached the solar filters to look at the sun. These binoculars work great in low light and during the daytime. The solar filters give an orange tint to the sun and allow you to see sunspots! Although I thought the filters weren't going to fit at first, if you apply pressure to opposite sides of the solar filter, they will slide on. They will be pretty snug, but that is a good thing so they won't slide off. I like that the filters are removable, so I can have these for other uses. Also, I was a little concerned because some light was reflecting off of the part where the filters screwed on (I put the filters by themselves against a light), but this ends up not being an issue when you use them with the binoculars (everything is dark but the sun). My only real complaint with these is the case. Although it won't rip, there isn't much in terms of cushion if you drop the binoculars in the case, so just be careful. Also, the solar filters don't have a separate case or a pocket in the main, so you will need to find a way to store them. I get that for $100 they had to cheap out somewhere, but just keep this in mind. Overall though, I think these are great, affordable, beginner binoculars and I have been satisfied with my purchase!
