It's a scissor jack!
Bought this one to replace the Honda OEM scissor jack that stripped out on me. Doesn't fit in the trunk holder because of the wide base but I made do. Can't believe some of the prices they were asking on EBAY. If they get them, I'm switching careers! The Torin seems to be a well built sturdy jack.

Jack was better overall quality than expected for the low price. The base was nice and wide, making for a stable platform to lift the car from. Worm gear was well finished..no burrs...and the scissors lifted smoothly to full extension and back.
