The creators of the Toy Story films re-open the toy box and bring moviegoers back to the delightful world of our favourite gang of toy characters in Toy Story 3. Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and the rest of Andy's toys are as fun and adventurous as always but none of them can deny that things in Andy's room have changed. Andy is seventeen now and just 3 days away from heading off to college. Find out what happens to the beloved toys when they're compelled to leave Andy's room behind and embark on an all-new, comedic adventure Toy Story 3 will start screening in cinemas of June 24. To co-incide with this theatrical release, Walt Disney Records are releasing 'Toy Story Favourites'. The album features 2 songs from each of the 3 films, including classic tracks 'You've Got a Friend in Me' (Gypsy Kings) and 'You Belong to Me' (Randy Newman).
Disney's Toy Story Favorites, a six-song EP meant to drum up interest for the release of the third installment of the popular animated film series, includes two songs from each film. As one would expect, Randy Newman dominates the collection, though his signature Toy Story-related song "You've Got a Friend in Me,¬タン is replaced here by a spirited Spanish version by the Gipsy Kings. It's all familiar and good, but the collection makes little sense to anyone who has invested time and money into the series, as they probably already own the four cuts from episodes one and two, and the two new songs appear on the Toy Story 3 soundtrack. ~ James Christopher Monger, Rovi
