Gold bonded is another word for gold plated.

It's not 100% real gold. Only gold plated. Nowadays, gold plated can go by various names. You should always Bing / Google whatever term the seller calls it. Supposedly it's gold bonded over silver, but there's no way of knowing whether silver is the underlying metal. It does look good, but it's not a real gold chain. I contacted the seller, Frost NYC, to ask them about the gold content, but they never responded. So I returned both chains.

"Gold bonded" is just another way to say "gold plated." This is supposed to be a silver chain, but there are no indications of it being sterling silver. There is absolutely no .925 sterling silver stamp anywhere on either my two chains. There is also no stamp of any kind indicating the chains are gold plated (or gold bonded) as the Frost NYC seller / distributor claims. It's a very nice chain, but if I'm paying for silver with gold bonding / plating, I'd like to see some indication that it's true. Frost NYC seems to be a reputable seller. I Googled their website and looked at various chains. Unfortunately, I also emailed Frost NYC through the Walmart seller link, but no one from Frost NYC ever responded. Will be returning both chains today.
