Sturdy, but not too heavy. Reliable and effective. The extra length alone makes it worth checking out. Bought a second for the back porch after trying it out. Even the top grommet clip, which a lot of poles make tiny or flimsy, is exactly what a flag needs. If you have high ceilings and want an indoor display pole for a 3x5 flag [and to keep it off the floor], this one's perfect since it can be placed outside too. If you're carrying one inside for the weather, watch the ceiling fans and hanging lamps, haha. 10/10 great buy, great deal
