Our carnivorous plant soil is an ideal blend of sphagnum peat moss and perlite that allows for quick drainage and air movement–two of the most essential elements for the survival and growth of carnivorous plants.

Care Tips: Always remember, carnivorous plants are to be watered exclusively with distilled or rain water, other types of water can prove fatal to the plant extremely quickly. Carnivorous plants predominantly originate from very moist “boggy” environments. You may want to consider “bottom-watering” your carnivorous plants by allowing your potted plant to continuously sit in a small saucer of standing water. When mixing your soil for initial use, it is best to thoroughly moisten the dirt mix until wet to the touch before using for planting.
