This lamp is nice-looking and very bright. It's less great because: 1) The lower hinge is very loose and not tightenable (it's much more loose than the upper hinge), so if you don't have it leaned significantly back, the weight of the lamp head pulls the whole armature down. 2) You switch between the three colors of light by turning the lamp on and off, so every time you turn it back on, the next color of light is what appears. If you want to use the same color all the time, you have to turn the light on and off three times every time you turn the lamp on, which is pretty irritating. 3) The cord is really quite ugly and does not align with the finish quality of the lamp; it's just a cheap, thin, black thing and in two pieces, so there's an ugly lump (where it connects together) a short distance from the lamp base.
